Scope

What the €1 500 backend covers.

A SaaS backend is where shortcuts get expensive. This is the baseline scope we quote — the parts that are painful to retrofit once you have paying customers.

Multi-tenant database

One system serving many customers, with each tenant's data separated by design — not by a filter someone can forget to apply.

Subscription plan management

Plans, limits, upgrades and downgrades modelled in the data layer, so what a customer pays for and what they can access never drift apart.

Data protection

Access control, encrypted transport and least-privilege credentials designed in at architecture stage rather than bolted on before launch.

API layer

A clear interface your web frontend, mobile app or integration partners can build against, documented enough that another developer can pick it up.

Cloud deployment

Provisioned and deployed on AWS, DigitalOcean or GCP — chosen for your budget and your data-residency requirements, in your own cloud account.

Testing on cloud servers

Tested where it will actually run, not only on a laptop. Behaviour under concurrent tenants is verified before you put customers on it.

Delivery

Architecture first, code second.

01

Model the tenants

We map who your customers are, what they must never see of each other, and how the plan they pay for translates into access.

02

Build the data layer

Schema, isolation and subscription logic first — the parts that are expensive to change once real data is sitting on top of them.

03

Provision & deploy

Cloud resources set up in your account on AWS, DigitalOcean or GCP, with the deployment path documented so it isn't a one-person secret.

04

Test & hand over

Tested on the live infrastructure under concurrent tenants, then delivered with the source code and the deployment notes.

Questions

Before you ask.

Which cloud provider should I pick?
DigitalOcean is usually the cheapest and simplest for an early-stage product. AWS and GCP make sense when you need specific managed services or a particular data region. We'll recommend one based on your load and your budget — and the backend is built so the choice isn't permanent.
Can you work with a frontend I already have?
Yes. The backend is delivered with an API layer, so an existing web or mobile frontend can be pointed at it. If the frontend also needs building, tell us in the brief and we'll quote both parts separately so you can see the split.
What does "multi-tenant" mean for my hosting bill?
All your customers run on shared infrastructure with their data logically isolated, instead of one server per customer. That keeps the monthly cloud bill close to flat as you add early customers, rather than growing with every signup.
Do you handle the payment side of subscriptions?
The base scope covers plan and entitlement management inside your system. Connecting it to a payment provider such as Stripe is a natural extension and is quoted on top — see E-Commerce Store Development for how we handle payment gateways.
Is €1 500 the final price?
€1 500 is the starting point for the scope on this page, invoiced in EUR at 0% VAT with a 3-day payment term. Larger data models, extra integrations or a frontend build are quoted before work begins — never added to the invoice afterwards.
Who owns the cloud account and the code?
You do, both of them. We deploy into your cloud account so the infrastructure and its billing stay in your name, and the full source code is handed over at delivery. Nothing about the setup requires you to keep working with us.

Building a product,
not just a page?

Describe the product and roughly how many customers you expect in year one. We'll come back with an architecture sketch and a fixed price.
